1. Introduction

Domestic violence (DV) hurts thousands of women, children, and men in Spokane County every year, and often goes unseen and unheard. The Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Coalition (SRDVC) is a partnership among many people and multiple organizations, including victim advocacy, law enforcement, government officials, nonprofits, and community members like you. The SRDVC is working on a plan to End the Violence in our communities and to advocate for the voice and needs of DV victims and survivors.  We are inviting you to share your story.

The purpose of this survey is to identify improvements in how our community systems and services are, or are not, meeting the needs of DV victims. This survey should take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes of your time, depending on how much you’d like to share. By responding, you will be contributing valuable information for stakeholders that can be used to improve services and help and empower other victims and survivors.

YOUR SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY. This survey is anonymous: we are not asking for your name, or email or any personally identifying information. You may choose to answer all or some of the questions at your discretion. We also acknowledge that responding to this survey could be triggering to you, and cause anxiety or stress. If you are currently experiencing DV or need mental or emotional support, please contact the 24/7 Helpline at (509) 326-2255 or ywcaspokane.org. If you are in immediate danger please dial 911.

Thank you for your participation and courage.
