Through an online survey, individual interviews, and focus groups, the Strategic Planning Oversight Committee (SPOC) heard from over 300 members of the Dugoni community. Much of this feedback provides insight into what makes the Dugoni School distinctive. For example, humanism is a defining characteristic of the Dugoni School. Other concepts such as professionalism, passion, audacity, clarity, accountability, stewardship, philanthropy, diversity, and inclusion, while mentioned less often, provide ways to define and expand the Dugoni Schools core values.

Core values describe the essential attitudes and behaviors that people express toward each other at the Dugoni School. Core values can describe the current culture or they can be aspirational, describing how the Dugoni School should be when the Dugoni family is at its best.

SPOC has identified six (6) core values. They are listed below. In the space provided, please tell SPOC what you believe each of the concepts either means or should mean at the Dugoni School. Your answers are anonymous.

If you have questions or comments about this survey, please contact Dr. Elisa Chávez, SPOC Chair, at echavez@pacific.edu.

Thank you for your feedback and continued involvement in the strategic planning process!
