The Pete Koehneke Award Nominator The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training (CAATE) invites and encourages peer and self-nomination(s) of individuals for the Pete Koehneke Award. This award will be given to an outstanding leader who has made significant, ongoing contributions of exceptional value to athletic training education and accreditation over a sustained period of service. Recipients of this award through their dedication and work, have had a lasting influence on the course of the profession at the national/international level. Any person associated with athletic training education or institutions and organizations that sponsor CAATE accredited programs is eligible to submit a nomination for the Pete Koehneke Award. A minimum of 20 years of service to AT education/accreditation is required to be considered for the award. Additional information may be found on the CAATE website. If interested in submitting a nomination, please upload a letter outlining the significant and ongoing contributions of the nominee, a current vita, and three individuals who will provide letters of support that speak to the nominee's contributions to athletic training education and accreditation.
