Phoenix Australia has been funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health, to design, develop and evaluate a digital training platform in disaster mental health available to support PHNs, GPs, other health professionals and community workers supporting the recovery of individuals and communities following a disaster (including natural and man-made). The development of this online training platform in disaster mental health is now, more than ever, of critical importance.
Whilst we are all operating under difficult circumstances, as we continue to promote recovery following the bushfires earlier this year, and face a great deal of uncertainty about the spread, scope and impact of COVID-19, we are seeking your urgent support to participate in a short online survey about your training needs in relation to disaster mental health.
We hope that by obtaining your feedback during this time we can better understand the training needs of those working with disaster affected individuals and communities, what resources you wish you’d had access to and what would be helpful right now. Ultimately by working in consultation we hope to create a co-designed platform that will meet the needs of health professionals and community workers in the future.
In order to inform the development of the platform, the project team is interested in understanding:
· What you think are the most important resources and topics, related to disaster mental health
· Your preferences for learning further about disaster mental health
· What you think are the barriers and enablers that would influence you in engaging with disaster mental health online training and resources
Your participation in this survey is anonymous and voluntary. This should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
If you have any questions about the survey, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We value your input and thank you in advance!
