Join up to 70 colleagues from Delaware and other states June 26-28, 2017 (with an optional 1-day strategic planning extension on June 29) in an intensive learning experience focused on the foundations of immersion education. This experience will help you connect your immersion program with other school and district initiatives and develop effective immersion leadership strategies to support students, teachers, and parents.

NEW FOR 2017:  Recognizing the unique nature of immersion program growth into middle grades, DINIP 2017 will for the first time include both an elementary strand and a middle school strand. Specific sessions are being designed to meet the needs of both groups of immersion administrators.

Application Deadline: April 28, 2017.

DINIP 2017 will include the option of a one-day "Strategic Planning and Visioning" extension session during which time participant teams will focus on individualized plans for full K-12 articulation of their immersion programs.  Building on lessons learned from implementation of the Governor's World Language Expansion Initiative in Delaware, teams will think long-term about their immersion programs.  Teams will complete a self-assessment to determine a personalized focus for the day’s work, learn about implementation science and how its four stages can benefit growth and sustainability of immersion programs, and design an action plan for strategic visioning and K-12 articulation of immersion in their school or district.  Note that there is an additional $95 registration fee for the extension.  This extension day is not applicable to Delaware participants.
