The Private Mental Health Consumer Carer Network (Australia) and Ramsay Health Care in South Australia are conducting a small study to investigate whether access to and use of the Practical Guide for Working with Carers or People with a Mental Illness has any impact on the interactions between clinical staff and family carers of people who use the mental health services run by Ramsay Healthcare (SA). We would be very pleased if you would consider completing this short survey that seeks your views about a range of partnership qualities that are expected parts of how care and communication with family carers are delivered in these services.

This anonymous survey will take approximately 10 minutes of your time.

Over the next 3 months, staff of the services will receive brief training and information about the contents of the Practical Guide for Working with Carers or People with a Mental Illness.

We would be pleased if you would undertake this survey again after that training has occurred to hear about whether you have observed or felt any improvements in how staff interact with you as a family carer.

Be assured that the survey feedback you give will be strictly confidential and anonymous. Only grouped results from the overall survey will be reported to Ramsay Healthcare (SA) or in any publications arising from this project. Individuals and their responses will not be identifiable.
