Introduction
This is the examination for the Dispatcher-Clerk, Caltrans classification. This examination requires respondents to answer (30) multiple choice questions and should take an average of 30 - 45 minutes to complete.
Note: The examination answers cannot be saved for completion at a later time, therefore, the examination must be completed in one session. Please ensure you have at least 45 minutes to complete this process before beginning.
You should have a pencil and scratch paper available while taking this exam.
It is necessary for those who work within the Dispatcher-Clerk, Caltrans classification to be capable of:
- Working irregular hours including night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Utilizing radio transmission
- Hearing at a level required for successful job performance
- Passing a drug screening test

You also understand that if it is discovered that you have made any false representations, or received assistance from others, you will be removed from the examination process, removed from the eligible list resulting from the examination, and may not be allowed to compete in future examinations for State employment.
