Michigan Green Communities is a network of local government and university staff in the state of Michigan that collaborate with one another, through peer learning and information sharing, to promote innovative solutions and move sustainability initiatives forward at the local, regional, and state level. The one-day annual conference brings together MGC members from across the state to share best practices and lessons learned in an interactive forum that facilitates networking. The third annual Michigan Green Communities annual conference will take place Friday, November 2, 2012, at the Michigan Municipal League Capital Office (208 N. Capitol Ave, 1st Floor, Lansing MI 48933). Learn more about the

Staff and appointed officials from local government, colleges and universities, or non-profit organizations working with local government are invited to submit a proposal to present at the annual conference. Initial presentations to the entire audience will last 10 minutes. Presenters will then have the opportunity to lead break-out discussion sessions to continue a more in-depth conversation about the presentation topic.
