Registration for A Walk to Remember

This Spring, PAIL Network invites you, your family, and friends to register and join us for a beautiful commemorative event in honour of our babies called "A Walk to Remember".

Local PAIL Network Volunteers will be hosting A Walk to Remember in several locations across Ontario on Sunday June 5th, 2022 from 10 am - 12:30 pm. Families will be invited to gather at a meeting spot from which the walk will begin and end. The 3-5 km walk will start at 10:30 am and will take approximately one hour. Following the walk, everyone is welcomed to join with others for a snack provided by PAIL Network.

Details of the walk location, including addresses and meet up spots will be shared with registrants by email closer to the date. Registrants will also receive a "Walk Kit" in the mail containing details about the walk location and a lanyard for each adult with a personalized card for you to write the names of the babies you are walking in honour of. For safety reasons, we recommend that young children not wear a lanyard and we will provide a sticker version of the personalized card for any children attending the walk with you.

A social media post about the event will be made to our private Facebook Group at the time of the walk. If you are unable to attend the walk, or if there is not one in your community, or if would prefer to walk in your own neighbourhood, we invite you to share any photos on the thread as you are walking so that you may still be included in this special event.

This private event will not facilitated by trained peer support volunteers and is not a substitute for group support. Families will be welcomed to share their grief with others on the walk if they would like but will not be expected or asked to share their story in a public forum.
