2020 Computing Career Corps Student Application

TECH CORPS’ Computing Career Corps (CCC) is a fifteen (15) week technology career exploration program for Franklin County TANF-eligible, in-school youth, 14-18 years old. Through hands-on lessons and activities, Computing Career Corps introduces students to a variety of in-demand occupations in the field of technology including computer programming, software engineering, robotics, 3D printing and app development. Students gain a solid understanding of the inner workings of technology and use their newly acquired skills and creativity to develop solutions and products.

The program will run from the week of January 27th – week of May 18th. Students attend the program ONE NIGHT a week Tuesday - Thursday, from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
The program sites for this year are:
  • Franklin Heights High School
  • Godman Guild
  • Homeless Families Foundation
  • South-Western Career Academy
  • Westerville Central High School

By completing this application, you are completing the first of two steps for enrolling in the TECH CORPS CCC program. The next step is to have eligibility verified for participation at a Registration/Orientation Session (parent/guardian must attend).
To be eligible to participate in the Computing Career Corps program, students must meet both of the following requirements:
  1. Live in Franklin County
  2. The student must be living with a family that either receives benefits like Food Assistance, Cash Assistance, or Medical Assistance OR the combined family income is 200%-300% below the poverty line.
