Tell us your thoughts on the economy in Custer County!

Great news! Custer County has received a grant to create an economic development Strategic Plan.  And, we need your help, because economic development is CRITICAL to everyone here.  Do you care about new homes?  Do you care about new businesses?  If so, you need to be involved!

Please fill out our community feedback form about economic development.  This is an opportunity for you to share what you think Custer County should be doing to support existing and new businesses and support your quality of life.  If you have thoughts to tell us about housing development, business opportunities, future growth, or other topics, please fill it out – we want your opinion!  What will we do with your ideas?  We will share them in our community meetings and they will help craft our Vision and Goals.  There is space to write in your thoughts in case we missed something, so let us know what you think.

So what is economic development?  Anything that improves the economy, develops the business base, and increases YOUR quality of life. The final Plan (due in May) will rely heavily on your help to  (1) create an economic Vision, (2) identify what type of economic development is appropriate for Custer County, and (3) list what Actions will be needed to implement the vision.  Your opinions will guide Custer County is what we need to do around economic development.

The feedback from this form is anonymous: no individual person or business will be quoted when we report the summary results and share them at the community meetings. If you are interested in finding out more about this project or have any questions, please contact Bill Canda,
Custer County Commissioner (719) 783-2552
