The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is creating a new plan for the parkland along both sides of Minnehaha Creek between Minnehaha Regional Park and the western city limits. We call this the Minnehaha Parkway Regional Trail Master Plan. The new plan will consider how the parkland along the creek is operated, maintained, and improved. It will include plans for all facilities, including the roadway along the creek.
Based on a wide variety of community input on a set of "initial concepts" for the corridor, MPRB has now developed the next round of designs. Called "preferred concepts," these drawings now feature single ideas for all areas along the creek.
