Entry Form

The Convenors’ Award for Excellence is awarded at the discretion of the convenors for a particular achievement in speculative fiction or related areas in the year for work that is not otherwise eligible in any of the existing categories for the Aurealis Awards due to the nature of the material. Entries normally eligible for existing categories, but made ineligible due to the author/editor being on the judging panel, are not eligible for consideration for the Convenors' Award.

It can be for non-fiction, artwork, film, television, electronic or multimedia work, or other Australian speculative fiction related work which brings credit or attention to the speculative fiction genres.

The Awards are administered by Queensland Writers Centre and presented as part of GenreCon, an annual conference dedicated to writers of genre fiction.

Entries open: Mon 29 Jun 2026 – midnight, Tues 10 Nov 2026

By making an entry, entrants acknowledge to have read and understood the Entry Guidelines.
