Introduction

Dear Nonprofit Colleagues,

Thank you for taking a few minutes of your time to help inform and expand philanthropic investment in communities experiencing disproportionate health impacts of climate change and fossil fuel development. We welcome survey responses from non-profits and foundations that are addressing any health and/or equity issues related to climate change or the fossil fuel economy, however you define that work. We will share the results with you via a webinar for survey participants and a public report in late 2019/early 2020.

The survey needs to be completed at one sitting and will take about 15-20 minutes. For that reason, it will not need any in depth research. For questions you’re not exactly sure about, just try to approximate an answer as closely as you can.  Only questions with an (*) are required, others are optional.

The survey will ask for your contact information so that we may share the survey report and other information with you. In the report, we will list the foundations and organizations that responded to the survey, and only share aggregated data. All individual responses will remain confidential. Should we wish to attribute specific comments to individual organizations in the report, we will ask your permission first.

If you can, please share the original email linking to this survey with other nonprofits (NONPROFIT SURVEY LINK) that are also doing relevant work. If there are foundations you think would be important to include in this survey, please share the FOUNDATION SURVEY LINKThe deadline for having your confidential perspective included in the survey is October 11th, 2019 (extended date). Please get in touch with Shalini Gupta (sgupta@hefn.org) with any questions.

Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey and to share it with your colleagues!
