Expression of Interest - Disaster Planning Support

Join the Care2Prepare pilot program

Carers NSW is seeking carers living in Gunnedah, Shoalhaven and Central Coast to trial a program to create a tailored disaster preparedness plan for you and the people you support.

Care2Prepare is a new project being delivered in partnership with the Physical Disability Council of NSW (PDCN) and GoCo to support people with disability, older people and their carers to better prepare for disasters.

Participants will receive in-person home visits to identify hazards, understand capabilities and develop a plan. You will be asked to make suggestions on how to improve the process and increase the accessibility of the tools used in the program. Your important feedback will help us develop an easy-to-use resource specific to carers' needs and those of the people they support.
