Call for Abstracts

Presentation abstracts are being accepted for the 2024 Oklahoma Rural Health Conference to be held in-person October 3rd and 4th in Tulsa, Okla. The purpose of this conference is to convene rural health administrators, providers, public health workforce, telehealth workforce, advocates, decision-makers, and others interested in rural health together to discuss various topics of importance to rural health in Oklahoma. Plenary and concurrent presenters will share viable solutions to help improve the delivery of, access to, and effectiveness of rural health, build collaborative relationships at the local, state, and federal levels, or suggest innovative changes to the rural health delivery system—all with the goals of improving health in rural Oklahoma. Three dedicated breakout session tracks will be held in hospital/clinic, public health, and telehealth. Breakout sessions are between 40-50 minutes. Some submitted abstracts may be chosen as a plenary session, and have longer presentation times. You will be notified if your abstracts are not chosen or not. Each abstract is reviewed and scored by members of the Conference Planning Committee, based on such items as how relevant the topic is, how likely the session will be commercialized, etc.

You must include a bio and photo for each speaker along with contact information.

If your abstract is accepted, and you are planning to attend the conference, speakers must register for the conference (fees are not waived for presenters). Additionally, no honoraria or travel expense reimbursement will be provided for presenters submitting through the call for abstracts.

Please call Allison Seigars at 580-213-3177, or email agseigars@nwosu.edu if you have questions regarding the content of your abstract or the conference format.

The call for abstracts closes on May 31, 2024.
