SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION QUESTIONNAIRE
The CALTRANS ELECTRICIAN II examination is being given on a Statewide Open Departmental basis. This examination will consist solely of this Supplemental Application Questionnaire.
This questionnaire is the only phase of the exam and is designed to elicit a range of specific information regarding each candidate's knowledge, abilities, and experience to effectively perform the duties relative to the classification(s). Candidates are responsible for reading all of the material provided prior to completing this questionnaire. Responses will be evaluated using pre-determined rating criteria. In order to obtain a position on the eligible list, a minimum rating of 70% must be attained. Please answer questions completely since incomplete responses and omitted information cannot be considered and/or assumed. Resumes, letters of reference, and other materials will not be evaluated or considered as responses to items on the Supplemental Application Questionnaire. (NOTE: Failure to meet the minimum qualifications and/or to complete this questionnaire accurately will result in elimination form this examination. Candidates who fail to follow the instructions and/or who solicit input or assistance from others to complete this questionnaire will be eliminated from this examination.
This examination requires respondents to answer work experience questions and 5 supplemental questions. The examination answers cannot be saved for completion at a later time, therefore, the examination MUST be completed in one session.
This examination consists of uploading a Standard State Application (STD.678) and completing an online Supplemental Application Questionnaire.
The STD.678 is required to be uploaded prior to proceeding with the Supplemental Application Questionnaire. The STD.678 must be in a PDF format to be uploaded. Click here for the link to the (STD.678) form if you do not already have one available to submit.
Examinations are processed on a monthly basis. The final monthly submission date is on the last Friday of each month by 11:59 pm. Pacific Standard Time (PST). Both the STD.678 and the Supplemental Application Questionnaire must both be completed and submitted by the time and date mentioned above to be processed. To submit any work completed hit the 'CONFIRM RESULTS' button before the monthly submission date or your examination will not be considered until the next month.
Candidates will be notified of their scores approximately 4-6 weeks after cut-off date.
