We are considering options for a new Council Tax Support scheme that is as fair as possible and in line with the needs of the local community. We are keen to give everyone - regardless of whether they currently claim benefit or not - the opportunity to have their say on the council’s proposals before the scheme is finalised.

In order to ensure confidentiality and impartiality, the council has appointed BMG, an independent market research company, to carry out the data analysis and report writing of this important consultation.

Please be assured that any personal information about you is secure, all of your answers will be treated in the strictest confidence and will be stored securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The responses under the 'About You' section will only be used to review what different sections of the community think of our plans.

Unless you are responding on behalf of an organisation or wish to take part in our group discussions, you do not have to give us your name and you will not be personally identified.
