Introduction to Survey

CMSC believes that the future of Mindful Self-Compassion is likely to be in skillful and targeted adaptations of the core 8-week program, tailored to specific setting, populations and intentions. In an effort to identify those adaptation projects that our MSC Teacher community is contemplating, with a goal toward helping support those efforts, we have put together this brief survey and appication to join the newly-launched CMSC Program Adaptation Incubator.

One definition of an incubator is "a collaborative program designed to help new startups succeed. Incubators help entrepreneurs solve some of the problems commonly associated with running a startup by providing workspace, seed funding, mentoring, and training. The sole purpose of a startup incubator is to help entrepreneurs grow their business." In the context of CMSC, we seek to leverage the infrastructure and expertise of our non-profit organization to help new adaptations develop and launch so that we can all bring more self-compassion into the world.

The vision for the incubator is to provide professional, organizational (and, in some cases, financial) support for worthy efforts at adapting the MSC curriculum as well as to create a rich collaborative learning environment for those engaged in adapting the curriculum. The specifics of this incubator project will emerge based on the needs of people like you who are considering adapting the program, so please feel free to be specific and forthright about what you might like to have CMSC be able to provide for you and your ideas.
