CheckUP is looking for photos that capture the unique landscapes, communities, and people of Queensland and the Northern Territory! By submitting photos to CheckUP’s 2023 Photo Competition, amateur and professional photographers have the chance to win prizes and have their images featured in our annual IMPACT magazine.

We are looking for photos that capture the theme 'Creating healthier communities'. This is your chance to share your creative perspective of the communities you work or live in.

The categories for 2023 are 'Natural environment' and 'Human interest'. Each of these category winners will receive a $100 Visa gift card and a Bluetooth Camera Selfie Stick and Tripod valued at $59.99.

Entries to both the above categories will be automatically entered into a People's Choice category with voting to occur via Facebook. A prize will be awarded to the People's Choice winner.

General Practice Queensland Limited ACN 123 426 111 trading as CheckUP Australia (CheckUP), is the promoter of 'CheckUP's 2023 Photo Competition' and hereafter in the terms and conditions will be referred to as 'CheckUP'.
  • Entry to the competition is free.
  • Entry to the competition is open to persons over the age of 15 years. Employees of CheckUP and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
  • Entrants can enter up to three (3) photos per category.
  • Entrants must be the creator and copyright owner of any images entered into the competition. All post-production and editing must be the work of the entrant.
  • CheckUP reserves the right to seek verification of the winner’s age, identity, and other relevant information.
  • The competition opens at 6am AEST on Monday 13 March 2023 and closes at 5pm AEST on Friday 9 June 2023. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed, or misdirected entries.
  • The photo/s submitted must have been taken in Queensland or the Northern Territory between 1 January 2022 and Friday 9 June 2023.
  • Images must be 100% photographic in origin, using film or digital. They may be images captured via camera, iPhone, or another device. The use of stock art, clip art, or other elements not captured at the location is not permitted.
  • If an image is chosen as one of the category winners, it must be provided to CheckUP free of text, logos, watermarks, or any other identifying marks.
  • By entering this competition, entrants give permission for CheckUP to contact them if a higher-resolution version of the image is needed.
  • Entrants retain copyright ownership of their images. However, by entering the competition, entrants agree to the use of their name and image/s in any publicity material in association with the promotion of the competition.
  • The entrant is responsible for obtaining relevant model or other releases.
  • The 'Natural environment' and 'Human interest' categories will be judged by a selected judging panel of CheckUP staff. Judges' decisions are final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
  • All entries will be uploaded to an album on the CheckUP Facebook page for voting via emojis. The photo with the highest number of emojis by 9am on Monday 10 July 2023 will be the 'People's Choice' category winner.
  • Each category winner will receive a prize.
  • The winning images will feature in CheckUP's 10th edition of IMPACT magazine. Category winners will be requested to provide their postal address, so a copy of the magazine can be mailed to them.
  • By entering the competition, entrants are consenting to CheckUP contacting them at a later date for marketing and promotion purposes.
  • Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, CheckUP excludes all liability (including negligence), or any loss or damage of any nature arising out of the competition, including, without limitation, any variation in the value of the prize, any tax liability incurred by an entrant and any use of the prize.
  • The competition will be governed by the laws of Queensland.
  • CheckUP reserves the right to modify or change the competition terms without notice.
  • CheckUP reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed in breach of Terms and Conditions.
