Introduction to CFMA Peer Group Program
CFMA is facilitating the establishment of Peer Groups for members seeking to improve their companies through information sharing and feedback with their fellow construction financial managers in non-competing regions and markets. Membership in a group is intended to be ongoing with the same set of peers meeting regularly to discuss issues, concerns, current trends, benchmarking, best practices and successes in a confidential setting.

In order to ensure consistency of experience, particularly in the first year, groups will follow a minimal prescribed structure based on direction from CFMA. Individual groups can customize their operations beyond this structure to meet the needs of their members.

Members: 10 individuals from geographically diverse, non-competing companies.
In-Person Meetings: once per year (1.5 days).
Teleconferences: at least every other month (may be more/less frequently at the groups' discretion).
Facilitation/Agenda: all groups will receive an introductory agenda and be assigned a facilitator for the first year for all teleconferences and in-person meeting(s) with the goal of moving to a self-managed, self-facilitated group after year one.
Administrative Support:  all groups will have CFMA-provided administrative support at their disposal (scheduling, conference calls, communications, in-person meeting logistics support, agreement tracking, etc.)

Selection/Acceptance Into Peer Groups
Submitting an application does not guarantee placement into a Peer Group. The groups will be formed with a start date of April 1st to coincide with the membership year for billing purposes.  You will be notified on or about March 15, 2017 if you have been successfully matched with a peer group.

The program year is defined as 4/1/17 through 3/31/18.  All Peer Group members must be a member in good standing with CFMA and must satisfy any outstanding charges payable to CFMA.

Should you be accepted into a Peer Group the non-refundable inaugural year's fee is $675, and $500/annually thereafter.  Peer Group participants are responsible for all costs related to in-person meetings (travel, hotel, meals, etc.); CFMA will cover facilitator-related expenses for in-person meetings of the Peer Groups in Year 1.  Please see our FAQs for details.

Collection and Sharing of Data
The data collected via this application will be used by CFMA staff and/or its contracted facilitator solely to aid in the establishment of effective Peer Groups, will be kept confidential, and will not be shared without the consent of the information provider.
