What is Engage?

Jockey Club Engage Digital Exploration is the pathway for NGOs to learn and leverage digital tools and techniques to effectively communicate with their stakeholders.


What is the Corporate Communication Series about?

• Learn what Corporate Communications means in a nonprofit context
• Practice how to define your message at an organization level using the ‘Message House’ framework
• Learn how to stratify your audience, identify message delivery channel and re-use core messages or different audience
• Develop a story structure for your corporate communication
Workshop Dates & Venue

The workshop has two parts starting with the fundamentals in the 1st session while the 2nd session is a deep dive and is by invitation only based on an assessment from the 1st session. 

1st Session (EQUIP Phase)
Date & Time: April 1st, 2020 (Wed) 9am - 2pm
Venue: Admiralty
A half-day beginner training for all NGO teams.


2nd Session (BUILD Phase)*
Date & Time: April 23rd, 2020 (Thur) 9am - 5pm
Venue: Admiralty
A full-day training that covers a deep dive in strategic corporate communications, visual storytelling, tips/skills using social media, etc. 
*6 NGO teams will be selected to pitch for the prize in the 2nd Session (BUILD)

At the end of this session, there will be three winning NGOs who receive awards for free professional video production services worth HK$80k, $70k and $60k.


Implementation
For the video award winners, a kick-off meeting will be arranged within two weeks after the BUILD session with a video production house.
Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, the NGO must :
  • be a tax-exempt entity under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance of Hong Kong
  • have significant local services in Hong Kong
Priority will be given to the NGOs who are able to form a team of 3 members and committed to both Equip and Build sessions.
