Thank you for your willingness to submit a proposal to conduct a field trip at the New Hampshire Science Teachers' Association Fall Conference on Sunday, October 15th, 2017. Field trips can be virtually anywhere - we are not using Church Landing at all on Sunday. So your trip will meet at a site of your choosing - and finish at the site of your choosing. There will NOT be any activities at Church Landing on Sunday.
Your interest in participating as a field trip leader is an indication of your commitment to quality science education in New Hampshire. We applaud your efforts.

Before you begin the field trip proposal process, please have ready:

Your complete contact information.

A short, 2-3 sentence, description of your field trip for the booklet.

A short, 5-6 sentence, description of your field trip for the review committee.

Information as to how your Field Trip applies to the NGSS Standards.

All field trips will be held except for personal extenuating circumstances or problems with the weather.

We will need to publish your exact field trip location and directions to the meeting place.

We also will need your cell-phone number to help with late arrivals.

Proposals will be accepted until Friday, June 16, 2017. .

NOTE: Once you hit "done," you will not be able to go back to your proposal (however, you can always e-mail with any changes).

* 1. Please fill in all contact information for presenter submitting proposal.

* 2. Were you referred by a conference committee member? If no, skip the next question.

* 3. If you were referred, by whom?

* 4. Are you willing to be featured to the membership in a conference spotlight? (note: we take the information for this and send it out in an e-mail featuring your field trip).

* 5. Please include a short biographical description of each field trip leader (this can be used to do a conference "spotlight," highlighting your field trip).

* 6. If there is a co-presenter, please fill in the following contact information. If not, please go to question number 5.

* 7. Grade level span of field trip (Please check only one)

The Next 2 questions (8 and 9)  refer to how your Field Trip applies to NGSS Practices and Crosscutting Concepts.  You are required to answer them!  Teachers who are reading over your Trip title and description and thinking about which field trip to attend will be specifically looking for your answer to these questions (which we will include in the booklet).
Questions 10 through 23 refer to specific NGSS Core and Component Ideas.  Please check the appropriate boxes.  Again, we will include this information in the booklet.

* 8. NGSS Practices for the K-12 Science Classrooms (please check at least one of the following)

* 9. NGSS Seven Crosscutting Concepts of the Framework (please check at least one of the following)

The next set of questions all refer to how your Field Trip applies to the NGSS Core: Physical Science, Life Science, Earth Space Science, Engineering, Technology, and science applications.  Please check only the appropriate boxes that apply to your field trip proposal.  Skip over any that DO NOT apply.  It is again important to note that teachers will be selecting theirtrip using the descriptors below that you provide.
