1 DAY EVENT - Friday 14th October 2022, 9.00am to 4.00pm

Purpose:
Cyrenian House has a strong commitment to working with lived experience consumers in the design, delivery and evaluation of alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment and support.

The AOD Lived Experience Representative Foundational Skills Course offers interested consumers the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and confidence to engage as a Lived Experience Representative within the AOD and Mental Health sectors.

Expressions of Interest are now open for people with their own lived experience of AOD use, and/or as a family/significant other of someone with a lived experience of AOD use.

The Foundational skills course includes:
  • Information on the broader AOD sector; Lived Experience and Consumer Representative roles and responsibilities; How to get engaged; The basics of Meetings & Committees; Co-design & Co-Production models; and Engagement opportunities.

Expressions of interest information:
  • Expressions of Interest via Survey Monkey close Wednesday 5th October 2022 at 4.00pm.
  • Applicants will be notified of the outcome via Email by Friday 7th October 2022.
  • Due to high interest and capacity limits, please be mindful that all applicants may not progress through to getting a place in this round of training, however we will be holding it again early next year. Applicants may want to consider how they are able to positively support themselves in this process.
Please feel free to contact Cyrenian Central on 9328 9200 or via email at enquiry@cyrenianhouse.com if you have any queries or need support with the application.
