The Winnetka Park District is working on planning study focused on the Skokie Playfield Campus — one of the District’s largest and most active recreation destinations.

This master plan will take a holistic look at the entire campus, including recreation programs and activities, athletic fields and facilities, parking and circulation, pedestrian connections, open space, and opportunities for future improvements. The study will also explore how the site can better support year-round recreation while addressing existing challenges such as congestion, aging infrastructure, environmental conditions, and evolving community needs.

On September 30, the project team hosted a Visioning Workshop in the WPD Community Room from 5:30–8:00 p.m. Participants reviewed the exhibits featured on the following pages and had the opportunity to discuss the concepts and ideas with neighbors, staff, and the planning team. Attendees were also invited to complete a questionnaire to share their feedback.

The questionnaire below includes the same questions shared at the Visioning Workshop and will remain open through October, closing Monday, November 2nd. If you weren’t able to attend in-person, we invite you to take some time to review the exhibits and share your thoughts. Find a comfortable spot, take some time to look through the exhibits, and let us know what you think about the ideas and concepts for the future of the Skokie Playfield Campus!

You may find it helpful to have the concepts open on another page as you navigate through the survey pages. Please visit the project website to view the hosted PDFs of the concepts as you review.

Prefer to review the information on paper? Printed copies of the exhibits and questionnaire are available for pickup at the Winnetka Park District (540 Hibbard Rd, Winnetka, IL 60093). Completed paper questionnaires can be returned to the Park District by Monday, November 2nd.
