Who are Women to Watch? They hail from any field, from business to athletics and from science to social good. They're entrepreneurs, artists, foodies, inventors and volunteers.

They are women who embrace their talents, skills and opportunities to make things happen in Madison — and beyond.

Here are the qualifications we look for in Women to Watch nominees:

They are a person identifying as a woman, located in Dane County (Madison, Wis. region).
The woman was nominated by a colleague, friend, family member or someone close to them; Women to Watch isn’t a self-nominated honor.
The woman is doing something that is benefitting the community at large — and not just themselves, or for professional accomplishments.
They have concrete, actionable plans that they are going to implement in the coming year, that they can share with BRAVA. This may be starting a business, nonprofit or hosting a new event.
