2023 Building and Finance Committee Survey |
Pilgrim Lutheran Church and School
The Lord has truly blessed Pilgrim Lutheran Church and School with continued growth and opportunities. The increasing demand for school services has provided an opportunity to review our Ministry Goals: Preach the Gospel - Word and Deed, Teach the children, Reach the next generation and Reach Each person with Hope, Healing and Holy Work.
The need to continue to meet these goals led the Church Council to form a "Justification Committee" to look at our growth trends and options to accommodate growth in our Pilgrim buildings. The Justification Committee's conclusion was that the growth is real, and, if we decide to accommodate this growth, we will need to make changes to our building. They recommended the formation of a Building Committee and a Finance Committee to further explore the specific needs and options for both the church and school.
The work of those two committees has led to identifying not only the immediate needs for additional classrooms and updating our daycare building to make it a commercial structure, but also other immediate and long-range needs of the congregation and school. Some of these needs include additional IT equipment, repair of the circle drive at the Green Bay site, new copy machines, and potential Suamico repairs, all to be prioritized based on the success of a potential capital campaign.
The work of these committees is ongoing, and they continued to report back to the Church Council to share their findings and potential recommendations both with the Council and with you, the members of our congregation.
As we work through this process, the operating committees wish to get a feel for the pulse of our membership, which has led us to send this survey to you. We would appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to review and provide answers to these questions. Thank you for your input.
