Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to fill out this year's Blaine County housing survey. Your input is extremely important since it will inform housing actions countywide! For those that complete the survey, you can enter a raffle to earn up to $100 in Valley Bucks to be used at any of these excellent local establishments

The community has housing development and programs in progress, such as:
  • leveraging public land and partnerships to build community housing units
  • preserving existing housing for locals (like Vail InDEED and Lease to Locals)

As such, Blaine County Housing Authority is working with the City of Ketchum to determine the following:
  • how well efforts meet the community’s housing needs and preferences, and if you have feedback on efforts
  • to expand and verify the 2022 housing needs assessment with more recent data
  • gauge employer, homeowner, landlord, and tenant interest in participating in existing and potential programs
  • to understand the primary barriers to accessing housing (in addition to availability)
You can access Blaine County Housing Authority’s Strategic Plan here, and Ketchum’s Housing Action Plan (HAP) here (or summary on second page here). Both plans include comprehensive sets of goals and actions to address the complexity of the housing crisis. Ketchum's is updated annually to reflect learnings, progress and integrate feedback.
