Project Orientation

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this master planning process for improvements to Barathaven Park. This online input form includes the same information shared and input opportunities presented at the October 13, 2026 Open House 01.

The focus of this first community engagement opportunity is to hear your thoughts on the existing park and opportunities for improvements or new amenities within the park.

This master plan will focus on the future of this 94 acre park. We are looking to establish an overall vision for the park and priorities for a phased implementation of improvements to the park. Your input in this meeting and input form will help identify the community needs and desires on which concepts and a final master plan will be developed.

The following pages includes the boards displayed at the open house along with opportunities to provide your thoughts and comments. We recognize the boards are small in this format. If you would like to download or enlarge the boards to better review the information presented they are available on the Parks and Recreation website via this link:

The boards shared below include:

  • Park Context & Project Schedule - Project site location with context maps and overall project schedule.
  • Focus Areas Image Preference - Collection of images representing possible park improvements in each focus area. Provide your thoughts on priorities for each area, priorities for overall focus area improvements, and other opportunities for the park.
  • Project Site - Overall site plan for reference when considering thoughts and comments related to the project site and your desires for a new park. This page also includes example of common park amenities and areas for scale reference. These are not all intended to be considered for Barathaven Park.
