Biala Wind Farm - Landscaping Program Application

The Biala Wind Farm Landscaping Program has been designed to mitigate the visual impacts of the wind farm in line with the requirements of the wind farm’s development consent.

Who is eligible?
To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must own a residence within 4km of a Biala Wind Farm turbine.

- A "residence" is a building that has the appropriate approvals to be used as a residential home and is either being used as a home or is in a condition suitable for use as a home.
- You may not be eligible for the program if a development application for your residence was lodged after 12th April 2017.

What happens after you apply
We will be in touch to confirm you are the owner of a residence and whether or not you are eligible for the program. We may request further information from you at this time.

Option One - Involves us installing appropriate mitigation measures, such as landscaping and vegetation screening, at your residence/s.

Option Two - Involves us making a one-off payment to mitigate any potential visual impacts of the wind farm. Note only one payment will be made to you, regardless of the number of residences you own on any property in the Eligibility Area.
