Brain Injury Canada's Post Election Survey Brain Injury Canada is conducting this survey in order to understand how accessible the voting process is for individuals living with brain injury or caregivers for individuals living with brain injury. We are asking you to assist our research by sharing your opinions and experiences on the current federal election system in Canada. By answering this survey, it helps provide a greater understanding on the barriers to access experienced by individuals with brain injury during elections. Completing this survey provides you with the opportunity to have a say on how federal elections are conducted in Canada. For more information about the project please view the information letter by clicking here.Participation in this survey is completely voluntary and confidential. Decisions you make on the level of participation will have absolutely no impact on the services you receive from Brain Injury Canada, now or in the future. You also have the option to end the survey at any time, as well as not answering specific questions should you choose. There will be zero consequences if you choose not to participate. All responses to the survey are equally important. As for completion time, we estimate that the survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to finish. Within the survey, there are questions that ask about your personal characteristics such as how your brain injury impacts you. It is highly recommended that you answer all these questions as they help to provide critical insight into the unique experiences of people with Brain Injury within the federal electoral system. This information can help us to determine where and how to focus our advocacy efforts for future elections. As a thank you for completing this survey, at the end of this survey you will be asked to input your name and contact information to enter a draw for a $50 Amazon gift card, with a 1 in 25 odds of winning. Your contact information will only be used for the purposes of the draw and not connected to your responses in any way.All data collected from this survey will be kept strictly confidential. Information from the survey will be only used for statistical purposes and published in an aggregate form, without any identifying features that are associated with any individual. Survey data is collected through the Survey Monkey platform and will be stored in the short term within their servers within the US. Once the survey has fully been completed by all participants the data will be transferred to OneDrive for the duration of the research project for data analysis and statistical purposes. Once the project is completed, the data will be stored long-term off-line on hard-drives under the protection of the Chief Executive Officer of Brain Injury Canada. As a sign to our commitment to privacy, Brain Injury Canada voluntarily complies with the principles of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Document Act (PIPEDA). Under PIPEDA, Brain Injury Canada is prohibited from releasing any personal information we collect for the purposes other than identified in this Consent Statement, unless a respondent consents to otherwise or doing so is required by law.
