2024 Sonoma County Environmental Awards Nomination Survey |
Sponsored by the Sonoma County Conservation Council (SCCC).
Since 1975, the Sonoma County Conservation Council has honored local environmentalists through its awards program. SCCC is now seeking nominations for the Ernestine I. Smith "Environmentalist of the Year 2024" and other awards. This year we are encouraging nominations for Youth Environmentalists and those employed doing environmentally-related work who go above and beyond their job requirements.
Nominations will close October 7, 2024 at midnight.
PROGRAM GUIDELINES
Nominations are open to the general public.
Nominations must be for individuals or programs whose environmental work has been focused within Sonoma County.
Before nominating, please search the list of previous awardees at https://www.scccenviro.org/about-awards/ so that you don't nominate someone who has already received an award.
If you are having trouble using this online form, you're welcome to submit nominations by email or mail to SCCC (contact below). Please fill in every box, especially your detailed reason for making the nomination, and submit all nominations by the deadline.
You must provide accurate contact information for yourself and your nominee(s). This information will not be used for any other purpose. The Awards Committee reserves the right to reject incomplete nominations.
You may make up to two nominations in each category; use additional forms as necessary. Self-nominations are not allowed; you may ask someone familiar with your work to nominate you or your program.
Once your nomination has been accepted, you must:
** Brief the nominee(s)
** Inform them that the award will be presented online at the Environmental Awards Webinar on December 4, 2024 and celebrated in person at the Holiday Networking Party on December 6, 2024 at the Sebastopol Grange. More information to follow.
