The Aspiring CEO Program is designed to identify and prepare future California Community College CEOs through the process of self-assessment and skill development. The program is scheduled from September through November, with two Zoom sessions and a day and a half, in-person workshop at the League’s Annual Convention.

This three-month professional development program prepares current California Community College (CCC) vice presidents and vice chancellors who are interested in the possibility of transitioning into a CEO position at a CCC. Applications for the Aspiring CEO Program are accepted through June 17, 2024. A cohort of up to 30 participants will be notified in late July, with a request for registration payment to follow.

Program participants will learn about:
· Readiness for the CEO Position through Personal Inventory and Skills Assessments
· How to Research Potential CEO Positions
· The Application Process
· Interviewing and Public Forums
· Negotiating The CEO Contract

Enrollees should plan to fully participate in the program, including attendance at and completion of:
· Both Zoom meetings, held September 13 and October 11.
· Completion of assignments, both in preparation for and following sessions
· Attendance at the in-person 1.5-day workshop at the 2024 Annual Convention in Burlingame

· November 20-21, 2024 – In Person, held at the League’s Annual Convention, Hyatt Regency SFO, Burlingame

Aspiring CEO Program Registration Fee: $1,300, does not include travel, lodging, or registration for the League's Annual Convention.
