Introduction

The ability to make good use of data is increasingly seen as a vital skill for the voluntary sector. NCVO supports organisations to make better use of their own data, and other publicly available data that can help them in their work. Through our Civil Society Almanac and data website, we analyse and provide data about how the sector is doing and help people understand trends in funding, workforce and volunteering.

We need your views
We’re reviewing how we provide data and support organisations to use it.  As part of this review we want to understand better how individuals and organisations use (and would like to use) data in their work and how we could make it easier for them to do so.

You can help us get things right by taking part in our short online survey.  It is anonymous and should take no more than about 10 minutes. You don’t have to identify your name or your organisation unless you’d like to get more actively involved in our “better data” project further down the line.  We will not identify any individuals or organisations in our reporting.

Make sure this is the right questionnaire for you
We have two surveys running.  One for voluntary organisations, and one for anyone else interested in data about voluntary organisations.  This is the latter.  If you work in or volunteer for a voluntary organisation, please click here to access the correct questionnaire for you.

Thank you in advance for your time.
