Walking Together: Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training for Disability Services Registration Form

Walking Together: Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training is a free 3.5 hour workshop for disability service providers who provide
services and support to Aboriginal people with a disability and their families and carers.

The workshop aims;

to build the capacity of participants to engage with Aboriginal people with disability and their families and
carers through cultural competency development
to develop the cultural safety of disability service organisations and
to develop the capacity for service organisations to become an employer of choice.

The workshop will also introduce the 'Walking Together: Providing choice in disability services for Aboriginal Communities' an online training resource which can be used by service providers to develop cultural competency within their organisations.

This workshop is designed for people who have a responsibility for managing and leading other staff eg: HR representatives,
managers, supervisors.

The workshop will run from 9.30am - 1.00pm.
The workshop is free for all attendees. Morning tea will be provided.

This workshop will be facilitated by Mirri Mirri, an Aboriginal owned company helping all Australians improve their understanding and awareness of our Indigenous cultures, with support from Carers NSW.
