Survey to Assess the Enabling Environment for Civil Society in Pakistan

Introduction

This tool is designed to monitor the civic space and enabling environment for civil society in Pakistan. It will assess the information regarding FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS, SUPPORTIVE LEGAL AND REGULATORY FRAMEWORKS, ACCESSIBILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY OF RESOURCES, STATE OPENNESS AND RESPONSIVENESS, POLITICAL, CULTURE AND PUBLIC DISCOURSE ON CIVIL SOCIETY, SECURITY, PERSONAL SAFETY, GENDER AND MARGINALIZED GROUPS. It will ensure that perspective of the civil society organizations are recorded for monitoring and advocacy efforts. This will further measure both progress and decline in the civic space in Pakistan, providing evidence for research on common patterns and inform evidence-based advocacy to promote the enabling environment in the country.

This Survey is divided into Nine parts. Hopefully, it will not take more than 20-25 minutes, we look forward to your kind contributions.

Confidentiality: All responses will be treated confidentially and the responders or their organizations will not be identified.

Data Use: The collected data will be used to analyze the civic space and the enabling environment for civil society in Pakistan to inform advocacy and policy recommendations.
