1. About this survey

On behalf of Arts + Health Co-ordinators Ireland, we would like to invite you to participate in our Arts and Health mapping survey. The aim of this survey is to measure the scope of Arts and Health activities in the Republic of Ireland in 2019, with a view to supporting the development of Arts and Health practice and its integration into relevant policymaking. As a professional working in the area of Arts and Health, your input in this survey will be invaluable.

‘Arts and Health’ is defined as a range of arts practices occurring primarily in healthcare settings, which bring together the skills and priorities of both arts and health professionals (http://www.artsandhealth.ie/about/what-is-arts-and-health/).

Arts and Health is distinct from:
  • Art therapies, where the primary goal is clinical.
  • Arts and Disability, which focuses on the engagement and involvement of people with disabilities.
We are inviting you to complete this survey in relation to an Arts and Health programme or project you managed in 2019. Before beginning the survey, please consult with your programme / project partners to prevent duplicate responses (i.e. two people filling out the survey for the same programme / project). Please also allow sufficient time to complete the survey. It should take 20 minutes to complete, though this may be longer if you work in multiple healthcare contexts. Some questions are mandatory (and indicated with an asterisk*). If you are unsure of the answer, please estimate an approximate answer.

Please note that all data collected is confidential and will only be used to achieve the above stated aim. No personal or identifiable information will be shared with third parties without your explicit consent. Only the anonymous results will be published.

Finally, we would like to thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Your contribution will help shape the development of Arts and Health programmes in Ireland.
