The Dr. Rafael and Mrs. J. Fe Padron de Angulo Scholarship honors the memory, dedication, and service of a couple who positively influenced the Gainesville Latino community for decades. Together, the Angulos opened their diner and home to many creating a safe space and home-away-from-home. In their memory, the Angulo Scholarship seeks to recognize students who excel in leadership, service, and scholarship at school and within the Hispanic-Latino community. The Angulo scholarship awards four deserving students (undergraduate or graduate) attending/planning to attend the University of Florida with $1,000.

- Resume/CV, 2-page limit
- A letter of recommendation
- Short essay response
- Copy of student transcript(s)
Undergraduate and Graduate Applicant Criteria
- Looking for well-rounded UF students who excel in leadership, service, and scholarship at the University of Florida and in the Hispanic-Latino community
- Scholarship funds are only applicable to UF programs of study
- Undergraduate: Currently enrolled at UF in seeking a bachelor’s degree, and must have completed two full-time semesters or equivalent
- Graduate: Must be in a current UF graduate program of study OR have been accepted into a UF graduate program of study
- Transcript required 3.0 GPA in undergrad coursework; 3.25 for graduate
- Must not have been prior winner of the Angulo scholarship
