FY24 Budget Solutions:

Budget Priorities Community Survey
The Anchorage School District (ASD) is seeking community input on solutions to the estimated $68 million budget deficit for FY24. ASD’s main funding comes from the State of Alaska through a formula called Base Student Allocation (BSA). Since 2017, the formula hasn’t changed much, while costs have increased. ASD filled the budget gap with temporary funds. By the end of this school year, the temporary funds will mostly be spent, leaving ASD with a multi-million-dollar deficit for next school year.

Below is a budget priorities community survey. ASD needs your help in determining the best budget solution options for the School Board to consider. Please take a moment to complete the survey.
What should be ASD’s budget priorities to reduce the deficit?

Please rate the budget reduction ideas you would be most likely to support.
