Share Your Stories!

The Practice & Management Committee of the Association of Pathology Chairs wants to learn more about what academic labs are doing to publicize the Laboratory Profession, and recruit. LAB WEEK 2022 (April 24-30) is our opportunity to hear from you! You can help inform the APC what member institutions are doing to Make Some Noise. This can be for activities you have been conducting over the past year - that is fair game. But we also want to hear about the great activities you are planning for LAB WEEK.  We are eager to hear about your creativity and approaches, from social media campaigns to department tours to special events. The APC invites all member institutions to use the occasion of LAB WEEK 2022 to tell us your stories of how you are reaching out to schools to publicize and recruit into the Laboratory Profession. The need is like never before to communicate with students in middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities, to make them aware of the important work and career opportunities that await in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. To any community – and in any language (!) – tell us how you are celebrating LAB WEEK 2022!

Please submit a brief summary of any or all of your ongoing publicity and recruiting activities, and your LAB WEEK 2022 activities, on the form below. This site will remain open through Tuesday, May 3rd. We will bring this information to the APC Practice & Management Committee and (depending on the level of response) to an APC forum, such as the annual meeting or a webinar, both to share and to lay our future plans for promoting our profession.
