1. Introduction

Thank you for taking the time to complete the 2017 Alberta Nonprofit Survey.

The Alberta Nonprofit Survey is conducted annually by the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations. It is the only source of province-wide "state of the sector" research that documents the ongoing experience, evolution, and health of the nonprofit and charitable sector. The final report is frequently used to help inform the decision-making of nonprofit leaders and boards, the Government of Alberta, foundations, and community stakeholders. This year's survey includes questions provided by the Government of Alberta.

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Respondents can leave and return to the survey by revisiting the link on the same computer and web browser (this setting is cookie based so if you erase your cookies before you submit the survey you will lose the survey responses). We are looking for one submission from each nonprofit or charitable organization. If necessary, please forward to the person that will be best able to answer these questions for your organization. Any question marked with an asterisk (*) is required. If you are unable to complete a given question, or it is not relevant to your organization, you can skip it and still submit responses to the balance of the survey. All responses will be kept confidential.
