AFFORDABLE HOME DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (AHDP) Survey

QUESTIONNAIRE

The Affordable Home Development Program (AHDP) seeks to create communities of single-family homes at scale around the city. By providing financing to developers for their eligible projects, the City can make it possible for developers to sell Houstonians homes at affordable prices. The six questions below are a way to see if your project will be competitive according to AHDP criteria. This questionnaire is not a requirement of the pre-application process; it is a quick way for you to see if your project meets minimum AHDP requirements. You will also be added to the list for future AHDP notifications.

1.WILL ALL OF THE AFFORDABLE HOMES BE READY TO SELL BY THE END OF 2023?

Yes

The City will prefer shovel-ready projects that can complete construction of the affordable homes by December 2023.

2.WILL THE DEVELOPMENT HAVE AT LEAST 40 AFFORDABLE HOMES?

Yes

Eligible developments have:
•Site must include at least 40+ affordable homes
•At least 40% of the total homes must be affordably priced, with priority given to developments with greater affordability.

3.WILL THE AFFORDABLE HOMES BE PRICED AT OR BELOW $250,000?

Yes

The City is looking for a range of prices for a range of home sizes.

4.DO YOU HAVE SITE CONTROL OVER THE PROJECT ADDRESS?

Yes

The City will not consider proposals if there is no site control.

5.IS THE PROJECT LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF HOUSTON AND OUTSIDE THE 100-YEAR FLOODPLAIN OR THE FLOODWAY?

Yes

The City will not consider proposals outside City limits or in the 100-year floodplain or floodway.

6.DOES YOUR ORGANIZATION HAVE THE FINANCIAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT?
