College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) (PD Hours: 6)
What higher purpose could there be than to empower others to fulfill a life brimming with opportunity, achievement and success? That is the calling of a teacher. We are to prepare individuals to meet all of life’s challenges, and not simply passing the High School Equivalency Exam. The College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education provide a vital link between education and the realities of the working world. This workshop, grounded in evidence and research, will address the key shifts in Adult Education that prepare our students for success in the 21st century.
