As learners move into the third decade of the 21st century, “meaning is made in ways that are increasingly multimodal--in which written-linguistic modes of meaning interface with oral, visual, audio, gestural, tactile, and spatial patterns of meaning....the multiliteracies approach suggests bringing multimodal texts...into the curriculum and the classroom” (Cope & Kalantzis, 2015, p. 3).
