Patient experiences of safeguarding in health and care settings - Expression of interest for children or parents/guardians of children |
The Patients Association is holding two focus groups to support the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in developing its safeguarding policy. The HCPC regulates 15 professions, ensuring that practitioners meet required standards of training, skills, behaviour, and health. The HCPC's primary role is to protect the public by maintaining a register of qualified professionals and investigating concerns about their fitness to practice. Its safeguarding policy is designed to protect the health, wellbeing, and human rights of children and vulnerable adults, ensuring they can live free from harm, abuse, and neglect.
We are looking to speak to patients - both adults and children (aged under 18). The focus group for under 18s, accompanied by a parent or guardian, will take place on Thursday 18th September between 5:30-7:30pm and will be focused on the experiences of children. Under 18s who are interested in taking part must have a parent or guardian present throughout the focus group, and all necessary safeguards will be in place. Selected participants will receive an £80 voucher for taking part, and their accompanying parent/guardian will also receive an £80 voucher.
This expression of interest form is for under 18s who have experiences of safeguarding, or their parents/guardians filling it out on their behalf only. If you are interested in expressing your interest as an adult, please follow this link to be taken to the relevant form.
