Licensure Advancement Fund
Financial Assistance for Your Path to Licensure
The Licensure Advancement Fund is a new initiative of AIA Colorado, supported by The Architectural Education Foundation, to help AIA Colorado Associate members experiencing economic hardship to continue on the path to licensure.
What can the Licensure Advancement Fund cover?
The fund can reimburse expenses related to the costs of achieving a license to practice architecture in the Colorado.
ARE exam fees
Subscription to ArchiPrep, AIA's premier online ARE prep resource designed to help emerging professionals get licensed faster
Initial application fee to establish an NCARB record or annual renewal fee for NCARB record
Licensing fee for Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) for newly-licensed architects
Member must show proof of payment to receive reimbursement. There is a maximum $500 total benefit per member (support can include multiple expenses).
Who is eligible for support from the Licensure Advancement Fund?
AIA Colorado Associate members on the path to licensure who are experiencing economic hardship due to:
o Layoff, furlough, reduction in pay o Inability to work due to illness o Expenses related to medical care of self or family member
Members must be in good standing at the time of application
How do I apply for support?
Complete the questions that follow and submit the application by clicking the DONE button at the end.
How do I receive the support / reimbursement?
If you already incurred the qualifying expense, please include the receipt, paid invoice or other documentation with your application.
If you are requesting support for a future expense, please describe the anticipated expense, amount and date in your application.
Applications will remain open for as long as funding is available.
