Introduction to the survey
The following survey has been commissioned by Zero Waste Scotland to develop the evidence base for mattresses and mattress material flows. The data gathered will be used to inform the development of appropriate options for product stewardship by providing baseline data on the volume, life cycle and product flow of mattress products throughout the supply chain, both into and within Scotland. This includes import and ‘placed on the market’(POM) through to export and / or end of life. Zero Waste Scotland will use the data gathered and findings to identify key points in the mattress supply chain that may be suitable for impactful policy intervention.
This work entails us engaging with organisations such as:
• Mattress manufacturers and retailers
• End of life organisations involved in recycling and reuse
• Local authorities
This survey will take around 10 minutes to complete. The questions asked will ensure that the response you give is anonymous unless you give us permission (at the end) to contact you. Any data collected as part of this survey will be managed in line with the privacy and data policies of the contractor (Enscape Consulting) involved in the delivery of this project for Zero Waste Scotland.
