About and Disclaimer

Please complete this survey of 27-36 questions. The survey should take 20-25 minutes to complete.

This survey is conducted by Northern Policy Institute for the purpose of gathering information on what resources exist to attract, retain, and support people in Ontario’s northern regions. We want to identify assets available to people who are already in your community, those who may be visiting, or those who could be attracted to come and settle there. People from anywhere and everywhere: remote First Nations, neighbouring rural communities, adjacent urban centers, other parts of the province, the country, or the world.

The information gathered from this survey will help to inform not only those looking for guidance and assistance, but service providers and funders too.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. If you decide to participate in this survey, please note that you may withdraw at any time. If you decide not to participate in this survey or if you withdraw from participating at any time, you will not be penalized. As well, you are free to decline answering certain questions.

The results of this survey will be generalized in a final report  published by Northern Policy Institute without personal identification and other sensitive information revealed. As well, the information may be used to update community partner web tools. We will ensure protections are in place to keep personal and other sensitive information confidential; all data is stored in a password protected electronic format.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this survey. The results you provide will help to ensure continued resource and knowledge sharing, greater information accessibility, and an understanding of where we need to fill gaps and harness our strengths to ensure we are able to successfully support individuals and families in our northern communities.
