In 2015, Adams County adopted its first Sustainability Plan, affirming the County's commitment to sustainability and innovation. The plan details a "triple bottom line" approach to sustainability, where the environmental, fiscal, and social impacts of county activities are taken into consideration with every decision. Since its adoption in 2015, the County has exemplified leadership and innovation in line with this vision and achieved many sustainability successes. Now, the County is updating the 2030 Sustainability Plan, to maintain relevancy in the face of rapidly changing technology and community priorities and ensure the long-term sustainability and success of Adams County.
