Introduction to Survey

Fighting Blindness Ireland is launching an exciting new project, which aims to establish the research priorities, activities and investments in retinal research by UK and European patient-led organisations.

The study is facilitated through an internship program run by the Faculty of Medicine at University College Dublin.

This is a valuable opportunity for the Retina International membership to contribute to a project that will assist in identifying the retinal research landscape currently funded by patient organisations. The information collected will then have the potential to inform the development of national, regional and global advocacy campaigns that focus on the value and need to ensure continued investment in this critical area.

Results of the survey will be provided by Fighting Blindness Ireland to members of Retina International upon completion of the project.

While the project is initially focused on UK and European members, the information gained and advocacy tools developed will be advantageous to all Retina International members and could potentially lead to a global study in the near future.

We thank you for taking the time to complete this important survey. We would be very grateful if you could complete this by Friday 8th June 2018. A member of the Fighting Blindness Ireland team may follow up with a phone call to ensure all details are captured.
